History
1912 – Johan G. Olsen started chartering ships in connection with his lumber export business
1927 – The company became an international business, selling 9 steam tankers from Anglo Saxon Petroleum Co. (which became Shell in 1954) to local Norwegian owners
1930s – The company focused on Tanker chartering but also took advantage of growing dry cargo market
1970s – JGO Shipbrokers diversified into offshore broking during the oil boom
1976 – Derrick Offshore was founded in London
1990s – The Olsen family sold its share in the JGO Shipbrokers to the brokers
2002 – Management buyout of Derrick Offshore
2006 – JGO Shipbrokers was acquired by the Pareto group
2006 – Derrick Offshore opened an office in Aberdeen
2013 – JGO Shipbrokers changed its name to Pareto JGO Shipbrokers
2014 – Derrick Offshore was acquired by Pareto JGO Shipbrokers
2016 – Pareto JGO Shipbrokers and Derrick Offshore merge under the Pareto Shipbrokers name
